“ENGAGE – Supporting Migrant Women as Integration Leaders” – Aiming at deepening the debate and coping with the migration flows phenomenon starting from the people and with the people, confident on the women power to make the difference.
Six organisations from France, Austria, Cyprus, Croatia, Ireland and Italy are committed in developing and testing an Integration Leaders Curriculum, implementing diverse online pedagogical devices for adult trainers and social workers engaged in supporting the integration of people with migrant background, through the formidable contribution of the women.
ENGAGE is a great opportunity to think integration as a process of inclusion and capacity building as well as one of the biggest challenges of our era” – said Tommaso Scavone, Project Manager of ENGAGE. In Rome we had the possibility to discuss about “the vision and the mission of the project”. Important words and concepts were underlined, such as women and community empowerment, co-creation, how to set a concrete and political agenda at all levels”.
The project started in September 2017 and will end in August 2019, and in Rome the kick-off meeting was held at the beginning of November 2017.
